Stružānu parish held a meeting of the population

Yesterday, on 27 February, a meeting of the population was held at Stružānu in the cultural house, where residents were informed about the willingness of Elliss Holding to form a parish tyre recycling company using a pyrolysis method. The company's representative, Ruslans Parfilovs, informed that these types of companies do not pose any risks to the environment. Similarly, tyres are processed in companies located in the residential area in Finland and Poland.
The citizens wanted to know whether the production would jeopardise the health of the local population by creating noise and hazardous emissions. The representative of the company informed that all indicators would comply with the laws of the Republic of Latvia and in no case will cause problems for the foundations. Ruslan Parfilov also said that a similar plant was located in Ozolnieki, and the people asked to think about the opportunity to provide them with a trip to the plant to ensure that they were safe.
Vilis Tutin, head of the parish administration, asked for additional information on the activities of Elliss Holding, submitting the project, as well as videos on similar sites in Europe so that citizens can make sure they are working.
