Launching project competitions for “Protection and conservation of natural and biological diversity” in activities for funding in 2015
The administration of the Latvian Environment Protection Fund (LVAF), in accordance with the decisions of the Latvian Environment Protection Fund Council of 1 December 2014 No 17, announces project competitions in the guidelines “Protection and preservation of natural and biological diversity” in 2015.
The aim of the project competitions is to financially support projects which contribute to the conservation and protection of natural and biological diversity.
Within the framework of competitions, project applications may be submitted for the following activities:
- Planning of conservation and management measures of specially protected areas for conservation of natural diversity (total available funding OF EUR 160 000, project applicants – associations, foundations, scientific institutions);
- Implementation of the Nature Protection Plans of Specially Protected Areas (SPAs) for the Conservation of Natural Diversity (total available funding in the I round EUR 70 000, project applicants – associations, foundations);
- Conservation measures for fish resources (total available funding OF EUR 80 000, project applicants – associations, foundations).
Deadline for submission of project applications: 29 December 2014 – 29 January 2015.
The project submission, in accordance with the requirements of the tender regulations, shall be submitted to the administration of the Latvian Environmental Protection Fund (Riga, export street 5, LV-1010) in personal working days from at noon. 9:00 to 17:00, by registered mail by post or in electronic form.
