Education

In the framework of the “talent course” project, the young people of the Trinary Children's House, together with Deputy Director, Larisa Franckevich and social carer Tatjana Strupe, visited courses in Bulduros. Each of the young people had the opportunity not only to acquire new knowledge, but also to practice themselves in a particular sector: culinary, mechanics, painting, music, construction, photography, security, telecoms, operator role; assembly operations; self-defence.
On the first day, the girls were studying cept pies and pizza. The boys were in the autopsy, where they tried mechanics. The children visited a new building where they saw a new house, how complex the builder's work was; saw how cosmetic repairs were carried out.
On the second day there was a meeting with a professional photographer. Children visited the practice where they learned: photograph; correctly select a rat, background; adjust the gaps in the photo using the computer.
In Riga, the children visited the Balticom branch where they learned to accept and respond to telephone calls; they found out how the telephone communications were working; along with the fitters, they held the wire to the ninth floor. After this lesson, Balticom's employees handed out the diplomas and gifts of Tiskad's children's house.
On the third day, young people came into a security firm where they had a chance to meet the firm's library. Children chose self-defense books; on various forms of protection, on weapons. They told young people about the security professions, where they had to learn to work as a security guard.
In conclusion, the children walked around the Old Riga, where they had lunch at the cafe “granddaughter with cats.”
The project “talent course” is supported by a public organisation “Support Centre for orphans and Sirota.lv families”. These courses really gave the children a deep impression! Thank you for all course organisers!
