The total amount of the project amounts to EUR 87373.18, including municipal co-financing – EUR 5200.

The aim of the project is to improve the quality of life of young people by promoting their initiatives, offering opportunities for efficient use of the free time, providing appropriate activities for the development of young people, offering the organisation of youth-oriented practice cycles in a favourable and friendly environment through informal learning.

In September 2014, the Centre's renovation works were launched – roof insulation and renovation, improvement of the site and repair of premises. By spring, the renovation works of facade warmth and finishing, cap and pannoea have been postponed.

The project has acquired equipment and equipment for sports, household, audio-video, computer, musical instruments and furniture and equipment for young people.

The project will make it possible for young people to have a modern-day centre for free-time initiatives.

The opening activities of the Centre are planned in June 2015.

The project is financed by the Swiss Confederation from the cooperation programme of Latvia and Switzerland to the enlarged European Union
