Future students are invited to apply for LU Foundation scholarships

By March 11, class 12 students are invited to apply for scholarships of the Latvian University (LU) Foundation in the academic year 2012/2017. Attention! By March 11, it will be possible to apply for not only the traditionally offered “road bread” and M.M.V.Petkevics commemorative scholarships for studies at Latvian university, but also two university scholarships for studies at any of Latvia's universities.
Login to scholarships is possible by completing an appropriate on-Line application questionnaire and uploading the required documents to the website www.fonds.lv.
In order to apply for scholarships, the average mark of the abiturate must be higher than 7.5 balls. M.m.v.petkevics applicants for commemoration of scholarships, when applying for a scholarship, shall also be required to add a statement from the social service, which certifies the total income level of the family or the encumbered social situation.
This year, from 1 February to 11 March, the newly established pre-decessors – Salaspils or Engures Municipality, at least one year of the declared young people - will be able to apply for the relevant municipality scholarship for studies at any of the Latvian universities. The application for Jelgava and Saldus municipality scholarships will be held in autumn 2016. Applicants for scholarships shall not be the winners of THE LU fund or other scholarships, as well AS THE employees of THE LU.
On the scholarship “knee-bread” may be eligible: class 12 students who intend to commence studies at the University of Latvia. Scholarship amount: EUR 2200/Academy. Conditions for receipt: excellence in training and high achievements in both training and other activities outside the learning work;

To M.v.petkevics memorial scholarship may be eligible: class 12 students who intend to commence studies at the University of Latvia. Scholarship amount: EUR 2200/Academy. Conditions for receiving: insufficient material support for studies, excellence in training and high achievements in both training and other activities outside the learning work.

May be eligible: class 12 students who intend to commence studies at any of the universities of Latvia; the amount of scholarship: from 1420 EURO to 1600 EUR/Academy. Conditions for receiving: at least one year the declared place of residence in the territory of the relevant municipality, excellence in training and high achievements in both training and other activities outside the learning work;
