Firefighter Day

30.05.2019

Education

In the week when the calendar showed a firefighter day, Kaunatas High School 2. a (mentor Guna Savicka) and 5b (nurse Marina Atiechenkova) went to the National Fire-Fire and Rescue Service Latgale Region Brigade Rēzekne part, where the Deputy Commander, Maxime Dimper, was very interested in telling the pupils about the firefighters' duties. On several occasions, he emphasized that he had to call 112 in an accident and not to play what was happening. The pupils also had a good chance of dressing a fire suit, breathing in a mask, looking at both the machine and the dispatcher. The pupils also asked questions, to which Maxime Dimper was willing to reply, also telling the events of his life by bringing the reality to the theory.
As a general rule, police officers are going to any accident, so after the VUGD visit, class 2a students also went to the Rēzekne police station where they met another professor – a policeman. During the visit they learned about the types of police cars, the policemen's protective clothes, and knew sections of the law that could affect any of the people if they were not respected. When they walked into the room, the pupils looked at where the offenders had to be.
Some time later, one of them will continue to protect the public by deleting fires, saving the population or struggling with criminals.
