In the competition organised by the municipality of Rezekne, “Rēzekne Municipality” in the nomination “annual company” became the winner of THE “LMKO” of SIA Pušas. 150 hectares of land are managed on the farm, its main activity – agriculture and dairy farming. The owners of the farm are Marija and Andris Runtovskis of Latvian fruit growers' association and two cooperatives. In the nomination “the new company” won the farm farm (ZS) “Berzubirze” from THE parish OF Nautrēnu. Its owner is Evita Skester on the farm garlic. The winner in the nomination “annual tourism service provider” is SIA “Razna Bay” from Čornajas parish, the owner of which is Edgars Teivans. In the nomination “annual domestic producer”, the winner is Ivo Sutin, who is active in the production of beekeeping products, but in the nomination “year craftsman” – the handover Maria Toba. In the nomination of winners, “Innovative Product Implementer” became the individual merchant “Ekofarm” from Dricānu parish. Its owner is Yuri Pleanov. “Ecofarm” is active in the production of wine-growing. The nomination “public activity” was raised and gratitude for participation in the competition was received by the owner of the farm “Leimaņi”, Veneranda's decay from the parish OF Nagļu. In the nomination “the largest employer of the year 2013”, where applicants were nominated according to the State Revenue Service data, SIA “paths and bridges” were recognised as winners. From 1 March to 30 September 2014, an independent expert for assessing the quality of the accommodation provided by the tourist accommodation of Rezekne was invited. 49 different accommodation (hotels, holidays, guest houses, holiday houses, rural houses, campsites) were surveyed. The survey of tourist accommodation took place in three stages after which the results of the survey were presented at the meeting of tourism entrepreneurs on 20 October. For this purpose, the foundation intends to support micro-enterprises and self-employed persons who commence and develop entrepreneurship in the territory of Rezekne District.

On 17 April, the cultural mark “Latvia Heritage” was presented to two rural tourism entrepreneurs. The cultural mark is given as a gratitude for the work done so far in the multiplication of cultural heritage and as a marketing sign that indicates to the visitor that the Latvian heritage can be acquainted with these objects. Out of 35 applicants, the Commission decided to assign a mark to thirteen farms, including two tourist service providers from the Rēzekne municipality: the “whites” of the horse, where it is possible to obtain the skill skills of the instructor and to visit the horse's cart, as well as the farm “Apkalnhomes”, where horse-laden accessories, belts, belts, leather bags and other things from the skin are produced, as well as any interested party can acquaint themselves with different types of skin and try hand-to-hand handling.

The traditional event supported by the municipality of Rezekne took place between 24 and 26 April Podiers' days. No 4. līdz 7. septembrim Rīgā, Ķīpsalas izstāžu zālē, jau 19. reizi notika pārtikas nozares izstāde “Riga Food, kur Rēzeknes novadu pārstāvēja ogu un augļu vīna darītāja Marta Igaune no Nagļu pagasta ar “Martas dzimtas vīniem”, Nautrēnu pagasta z/s “Bērzubirzes” ar unikālajiem ķiploku pesto un vasabi, kokgriezējs Edgars Matisans no Sakstagala pagasta un “Latgolys golds”, kas piedāvāja rudzu maizi, speķi un Latgales tradicionālo šmakovku.

31. oktobrī un 1. novembrī Rēzeknes Uzņēmēju biedrības rīkotajā ikgadējā izstādē – gadatirgū “Rēzeknes Uzņēmējs” piedalījās arī Rēzeknes novada zemnieki un mājražotāji. Ābolus un bumbierus piedāvāja zemnieku saimniecība “Ķirši” no Lendžu pagasta, dārzeņus un skābētus kāpostus – Ozolmuižas pagasta zemnieku saimniecība “Lukstiņmājas”, no Sakstagala pagasta z/s “Priedaine” pārdeva smiltsērkšķu produkciju, bet z/s “Lapsiņas” — paipalu olas. Krāšņus tamborējumus un adījumus piedāvāja Ruta Rancāne no Lendžu pagasta, acis priecēja  Anatolija Vituškina un Jura Krompāna keramika un z/s “Apkalnmājas” ādas darinājumi.

13. novembrī Jelgavas novada Ozolniekos, Latvijas Lauku konsultāciju un izglītības centra rīkotajā konkursā „Laukiem būt!” finālā kopskaitā piecas dažādas jauniešu radītas biznesa idejas, kas saistītas gan ar lauksaimniecisko darbību, gan amatniecību, gan pārtikas ražošanu tika atzītas par labākajām un saņēma motivējošas naudas balvas. Par labāko ideju lauksaimniecības nozarē atzīts Žaņa Jesko no Rēzeknes novada projekts „Biškopības produkcijas ražošanas attīstīšana piemājas saimniecībā Dzipšļi”. Savukārt, 3. vietu nominācijā „Uzņēmējdarbības ideja lauksaimniecības nozarē” saņēma Valentīns Brokāns no Rēzeknes novada ar projektu „Šķirnes mājputnu audzēšanas uzsākšana Valentīna Brokāna piemājas saimniecībā”.
