Businessmen of Rezekne also participated in the business days in Latgale
Latvia's largest business association Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), in cooperation with Latgale Planning Region, held an exhibition “entrepreneurs in Latgale 2016” on 23 and 24 September in Latgale embassy “GORS”.
Visitors had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the offer of nine Latgale municipality municipalities, the products, services, tourism information, as well as the latest offer of Latgale region and all Latvian entrepreneurs. The concert hall had the opportunity to enjoy the delicious delicacy of Latgale in the household and amateur fair, as well as to look at the techniques of the National Armed Forces. In total, 140 companies participated in the exhibition.
In the Rēzekne District, “Baltic Flags” was seen in the Rēzekne District, the various offers of “Baltic Flags”, samples of “Gravtex” decorative wall panels, “BaltHarmonia” musical instruments, “SimpleWood” wooden toys, “Attack” electric guitar samples, the clothes created by fashion designer Welgas Krukovskaya, the Rēzekne municipality, and the offers of other entrepreneurs.
Minister for Environmental Protection and Regional Development Kaspars Gerhards also participated in the opening of the exhibition. The Minister emphasized: “Latgale is the base stone of Latvia, Latgale and Latgalians have the foundation to be proud of themselves, their ancestral traditions, their language and cultural and historical heritage. In order to promote the sustainable development of the regions, i have focused on the growth of Latgale region. There is a foundation for further development - investment OF EU funds available, a new special economic zone established in Latgale. Currently, the region is open to new opportunities."
Similarly to previous “business days in Latgale”, which took place in Daugavpils, this year, businessmen had an opportunity to supplement their knowledge in the business opportunities forum. In it, entrepreneurs and local government leaders discussed the preconditions for economic growth of Latgale region and all Latvia, as well as how to successfully overcome the challenges of global global events. An active discussion also took place on developments related to the creation of Latgale special economic zone and the availability of labour.
