German tourists received information on tourism opportunities in Latgale in Munich

The Latgale tourism association “Ezerland”, from 10 to 14 February in the German city of Munich, participated in South Germany at the most visited tourism exhibition “f.re.e 2016” in Latvia.

Latgale tourism specialists noted that the interest in Latvia, including Latgale tourism, was very large during the exhibition. Overall, the visitors of the exhibition were very well informed about Latvia, so many came with concrete, pre-prepared questions. Many bench visitors have already been in Latvia, and a new journey is planned to be performed by introducing new places - from the capital city.

Germany's Latgale tourism sector is a highly priority target market. The share of German tourists in the region tends to increase and is the third largest target market after Lithuania and Russia. The tourist exhibition “f.re.e 2016” is also mostly seniori and families with children.
