The National Blood Centre Latgale branch will then be accepted by the donors in new premises three days a week

On 10 September, the State Blood Donor Centre (CEO) opened the premises of the new Latgale branch IN SIA Rezekne Hospital, 18 November at 41, 4 th floor.
VADC Director Iveta Ozolina: “The premises of Latgale branch in Rezekne Hospital are specially adapted to the collection requirements of blood and blood components and are equipped so that the people of Rezekne and the nearest surroundings are safe and comfortable to donate blood. By creating an opportunity for changing rooms, THE LEADER hopes to attract new blood donors in Latgale region and improve working conditions FOR THE employees of THE Latgale branch.”
IN THE province of Latgale, which accepts both in its premises in Rezekne and on regular visits to donors in Latgale and Vidzeme, in 2014, 46.84 people from 2208 men and 2477 women had arrived in total blood donating blood, totalling 7744 doses or approximately 3484 litres of blood, which is approximately 15% of all blood donated in Latvia.
HEAD of Latgale branch Sergei Šimov: “with the start of work in the new premises, we have extended the time of acceptance of donors, and we will wait three days a week for donors to donate blood: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We have already received positive words from donors and believe that the new aesthetically attractive spaces will encourage donor blood to donate regularly! '
In the opening of Latgale branch, the Director of the Health Care Department of THE Ministry of Health of LATVIA Eriks Mikķītis, Director of the State Blood Centre, Iveta Ozolina, head of THE Latgale branch Sergei Šimov, and Aleksandrs Bartachvičs, Chairman of the City Council of Rezekne, took part in the opening of the branch of Latgale.
THE transfer of Latgale branch to new premises SIA Rezekne Hospital is due to the support of the European Union Structural Funds and the City Council of Rezekne.
In order to mark the move to the new premises, THE Latgale branch held the donor week from 14 to 18 September and calls on everyone to refer to the call for donation. Blood donors that have donated blood before, and especially those who will decide to do so for the first time, are expected. When donating blood, it is necessary to present a personal identification document – passport, ID card or driving licence. You must also take a bank account number with you.
The donor week takes PLACE IN THE framework of THE MANAGEMENT campaign “we have one circulation”, which is being implemented to remind you that we are all related and one day blood may be needed for any of us.
