For many years, the Rēzekne municipality has developed a tradition of honouring the people of Latvia, whose professionalism, integrity, creativity and activity are based on the growth and prosperity of Latvia. This year the festive event took place IN Gaigalavas cultural house.

In the 97 years, we have experienced a lot of achievements and challenges, we have survived the loss of our statehood and non-free years, we have also been present for the wonderful time of independence of independence, and we can now see a prosperous growth of Latvia. As I wait for the centuries of the country, i would like to remind you that the struggle for freedom is not over – it must be brought out every day, first, in the face of my own laziness, reluctance, weakness and temptation.
