Velocross in Anchupans

On the eve of the summer sunrise, on 21 June, the Anchupan woods gathered in a cycling enthusiast to test their forces in the Rēzekne municipality competition “gruzis in the eye 2015”.
The participants had to make a complex 4.6 km long, barrier-rich route. The wealthiest athletes of the experience were able to choose the number of circles suitable for their age group, but the beginners had to play with professionals on one startup line and perform one circle without time control. With satisfaction, everyone was expected to receive a medal from the organisers of competition. The winners were awarded with specially prepared medals, diplomas and prizes from supporters of competition.
Although small cyclists would be interested in this sport, a special distance of 800 m was created. Any child of up to 10 years of age could participate in it. In the finish, each of them received memorial medals and gifts.
The organisers of competitions had smoked drinking water, food, as well as the possibility of renting the necessary cycling, thanks to the recently realized LEADER project.
By developing cycling in the municipality, organisers of competitions – SEE MAGNEN -- are planning to gather the rollers for current competition in autumn.
