The People's Musicans from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia will meet in Vilnius

On August 2, the People's Musicists from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia will be gathering on the festival of the People's Musicans for the 14 th year. On the banks of the river, ancient and new melodies, in the performance of both old and modern chapels and folklore sets, will sound again. These are festivals in which the musical skills of the Musicist of the People's Musicist-Grandfather, his father or his father, and the knowledge of the tradition of the Musicisation of the People are handed over to the younger generation of musicians and exchanged between melodies and the playing of different instruments.
This year the musicians will participate in Vilnius - old masters from Karhis, Viļānu, Daugavpils, Ludza, Prize, Baltinava, Vilaka, Dagda, Rezekne, Salacgriva, Krimuldas, Saldus, Limbaži, Ventspils, Kuldīga and Strenz. Special guest in Vilnius will come from Pairnava (Estonia) - the orchestra of the mouth of the mouth (Piccolo Orchestra), who plays both the academic and the People's music with the mouth of the mouth, and has already surprised many of the listeners in various international contests, also obtaining the titles of the Baltic States and the Nordic Championships in the oral tradition. It will also be possible to enjoy Mahmor (Poland, Estonia) and several Musicans of Utena (Lithuania), including the Garson family ensembles, who are not only performing but also studying and collecting Lithuanian music.
Traditionally, the festival of the People's Musicans will be celebrated with several concerts AT Viļānu municipality parish, but at noon 18:00 all invited to the Musicist of the People's Musicans on the island of lakstīgalu, Vilnius, after which the vecherinka was followed by jestrum songs, lusty dancers and hearty talks. Not only the participants of the event, but also the viewers, have the opportunity to understand more deeply the traditions of the musicisation of the household, the characteristics of the repertoire of the musical groups, the manners of the instruments of the instrument, the possibilities of manufacture and application.
The People's Musicist festival is organised by the People's Musicist Society, the State Culture Capital Foundation, Viļānu municipality council, Viļānu city council, Viļānu cultural house, parish municipalities, pub “at Kaupra” etc.
