By Christmas time, the event at the President of the State is invited by the Pujatu family that year from Rezekne municipality
While continuing the tradition of Riga Castle, President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers, with Madame Lilita Zatlers, invited the strong, large and creative families from all Latvia to burn the Christmas tree of Riga Castle. In the festival event, on 6 December, the Pujatu family from Rēzekne municipality IS invited TO participate in the Vilnius village OF Ilzeskalna.
Six children grow in the family of Inara and Valda Pujatu. The family is characterised as a working and responsive family in Ilzeskalns. The “archives” of the organic farms in their possession are cultivated and maintained by all members of the family – the local schools and the Rēzekne market are provided with the potatoes grown on the farm. Valdis, along with his bush family, builds family house and farm buildings on land. He does not only work on his farm, but also helps other rural residents in both their own and neighboring parish, providing technical services in rural jobs.
Inara is simple, responsive and active. The house is a cow-garden itself, and it is a pleasure not only for the family members themselves, but also for the pleasure of every passer. After his education, his mother's mother is a teacher and HAS worked for 20 years as a mathematician teacher at Ilzeskalna.
Her parents, Artim, Christapam, Janis and Ivars, also teach her parents, Tatjana and her brother Dmitry. Children who have obtained primary education are now continuing training in vocational schools related to agriculture and construction. The boys' family always find satisfaction while working together and visiting various cultural events.
Daddy Valdis, with five sons, would go to the solemn acceptance of the presidential castle. Unfortunately, Mom Inara, with her daughter, Tatjana, does not go to the event because of family circumstances. The arrival of the family to Riga and a comfortable dinner in the recreational complex “airo” will be ensured by THE parish administration OF Ilzeskalna.
