Sworn advocates call for free advice

From 13 to 17 March, more than 150 sworn advocates will provide free legal advice to residents throughout Latvia, paying special attention to the protection of children's interests this year. Council of Sworn Advocates of Latvia on the website www.advokatura.lv it has published a list of advoy-day consultants and calls on citizens to sign up now.
“In seven years, free consultation people have used the most to solve family problems. Childcare issues are particularly painful, which are becoming increasingly complex. Often, issues of custody, maintenance or alliances and rights of access to parents should be addressed at international level, such as the removal of a minor child to life abroad or the right of custody of a child to divorce with a national of another country. Therefore, this year's consultative guide is“ children's rights ”to encourage parents to be informed and even more active in the interests of their children,” invites Sworn advoy Tatjana Ranāne.
“The purpose of the Bar Day is to encourage people to take a first step in dealing with painful issues, as often even simple people with reservations are“ not urgent ”and“ currently no money ”can be postponed until they become serious problems. The free consultation helps to highlight the way forward that was used by almost three thousand people last year. This year, the events of the lawyer will be held throughout Latvia and the eu, for example, thanks to the initiative of the local government, with three more sworn advocates, will provide advice in Ķekava and pigeons,” says Sworn advoy Dana Rone.
More than 150 sworn advocates and their assistants will provide free consultations this year. The most jury lawyer will be in Riga, as well as free consultations will be provided in more than 20 cities including Bauska, Alūksne, Valmiera, Rēzekne, Balvi, Saldou, Liepaja, Jurmala and elsewhere. The citizens may refer not only to family and children's rights, but also to heritage, indebtedness, real estate, employment legal relationships, administrative law, criminal law and other matters, in accordance with the field of specialisation of the lawyer. In particular, the people who have so far not had the opportunity to receive legal aid due to pay or other restrictions are invited to apply for free advice.

How do i apply for a lawyer-day advice?

  • Homepages www.advokatura.lv in the section “Free Legal Aid – March 13 to 17”, a list of the contact details of the sworn advocates who provide free legal advice in the days of the Bar is available.
  • An interested party with the chosen jury is contacted individually to agree on the time of consultation and the area of law in which advice is required. A phone call may be sufficient for simpler questions.
  • In view of the limited duration of consultations, lawyers are invited to apply for time. If you cannot arrive, you will be asked to reject the reservation so that someone else can use this opportunity.
  • In the case of technical issues, at the time of these advocations, at: 09.00 - 18.00 is an informative phone 26856642 (please note that the advice of lawyers is not provided, but informative support and fixed reports are provided if no free consultation is available in any region).

In 2010, the College of Sworn Advocates of Latvia established a mission to promote the mission of a sworn advocate – to act in the public interest, giving it practical help after the best conscience laws.
A Latvian jury of sworn advocates is an independent professional corporation of Latvian sworn advocates, which combines all sworn advocates practising in Latvia. It is one of the oldest professional organisations in Latvia. This year, the College celebrates the 96 th year of operation, since the first time, on 19 March 1921, a general meeting of sworn advocates was convened, in which the Council of Sworn Advocates of Latvia and its President Gustav Zemgale, the later President of the State, were elected. President Janis Chakste and Albert Quests have also been sworn advocates. The Bar is an integral part of legal justice. For reference: www.advokatura.lv.
