Call for proposals for youth initiatives launched

The Ministry of Education and Sport of Rezekne shall announce a tender for granting co-financing for the projects of the 2023 youth initiatives that will be implemented from 1 May to 1 November 2023. The aim of the competition is to support youth inclusion in political, economic, social and cultural processes in the Rēzekne municipality.

Basic criteria and priorities for the competition:

• Participation of young people in the design and implementation of the project;
• The youth initiative project promotes useful leisure, non-formal learning and promotion of healthy lifestyles among young people;
• The youth initiative project promotes the development of a youth friendly environment in Rezekne municipality, inviting all interested young people to participate;
• The project of youth initiatives is in line with one of the nominated themes;
• The project contributes to promoting entrepreneurship among young people;
• The project contributes to the involvement of young people in volunteering.

Youth Initiative project contest topics for 2023:

•  Educational activities for young people on the latest technologies;
•  Activities for the study of the history of Rezekne District;
• Activities focused on the development and social inclusion of young people's social and living skills.

Youth NGOs, youth centres, youth clubs, pupils self-government and youth informal interest groups are invited to participate in the competition. The amount requested for the implementation of the project shall not be less than EUR 300,00 and more than EUR 500,00. Project applications may be submitted only electronically, by 17 March at 15:00 when sending to e-mail aivars.mezatucs@rezeknesnovads.lv  (signed with e-signatures or signed and recorded).
