REZEKNE MUNICIPALITY SPORTS LAUREATE 2022

THE award ceremony OF THE RĒZEKNE MUNICIPALITY WILL take place on 27 January 2023, at 18.00, Maltas in a cultural house.

Objective:
1. Identify and honor persons on the progress achieved in sport or the development of the sport sector by summing up individual athletes, sports teams, sports organisations, sports event organisers, sports trainers, as well as persons who have supported or contributed to the development of the sports sector in the Rēzekne municipality in 2022.
2. Inform the public about sporting achievements in 2022 and introduce the best athletes and sports organisers of Rezekne.

Participants:
An athlete, coach or team who has reached the highest sporting results in the Latvian Championship or a Latvian sports veteran in the Union's final competitions, or in national and international competitions in 2022, promoting the development of sports in Rezekne District, may be eligible for the titles of the laureate.

The best will be determined in the following nominations:
1) annual athletes (highest achievements at both Latvian and international level);
2) annual athlete (highest achievements at both Latvian and international level);
3) annual team (two and more athletes, highest achievements at both Latvian and international level);
4) year coach/e (whose students have reached the highest results);
5) annual sports event (national or international event, massage);
6) life contribution to sport (a sports activist who has contributed to the development of sports in Rezekne municipality for many years);
7) sample in sport (an athlete or coach who has shown human attitudes in competitions, has been as the best example of any action, etc.);
8) hope in sport (an athlete or coach who has shown a particular focus on sports achievements);
9) an annual sports teacher (promoting the role of a sports teacher in a healthy and physically active new generation education process, is able to motivate his or her pupils to be physically active, participate with their students at various level competitions, organise out-of-hour activities);
10) the best judge (regularly participating in the trial in both Latvian and local competitions, is certified in the form of sports in the Federation);
11) the most active sports supporter (sponsor who supported sports events in 2022).
