Customers of VSAC “Malta” repair time are planned to be accommodated at the Maltese Secondary School Service Hotel

In 2020, a project was developed and a procurement of the health and social care centre (VSAC) “Malta” for the reconstruction of the sanitary assemblies of the building on the 1 st and 2 nd floor of the building was developed. According to the original plan, the works were intended to be carried out on each floor separately, with customers moving within the building. However, because the strict limitations of THE COVID pandemic do not allow other visitors, including the performer of construction works, to be located at the premises of the care centre, for the period of repair (about three months), all 35 residents of the centre are planned to be accommodated in the 4 th floor of the Maltese High School Service Hotel.

In order to ensure the quality and continuity of the care service as well AS in order not to interfere with the learning process in an educational institution, a working group approved by the municipality of Rezekne, who must develop an action plan for the safe movement and accommodation of residents in other premises, shall be ensured in order to ensure THE quality and continuity of the care service. Representatives of THE VSAC “Malta”, the Head of the Rēzekne District Social Service Sylvia Strankale, the head of the Maltese parish administration Vitalijs ants and the Maltese High School Director Vinera Deme will participate in the working group.

By 25 January, the working group shall prepare and submit an action plan to the Standing Committee on Social and Health Protection of the Rēzekne District Council. The plan will discuss the adaptation of both the service hotel rooms for the provision of a service in accordance with the requirements of fire safety, labour protection and sanitary-epidemiological, including COVID-19 pandemics, both the schedule of customer handling time and technical security, the catering of clients, and the settlement procedures regarding utilities and other issues.

If the opinions of the working group, the council committee and the responsible services are positive, THE VSAC employees in cooperation with the social service mobile team will gradually carry out customer relocation.

It is important to note that the large building complex of the Maltese High School has the possibility to ensure that the paths of the school collective and THE VSAC employees and customers do not intersect. For example, VSAC employees will use a service hotel staircase that will not be available to the school, while the food will be prepared for customers in the kitchen kitchen and delivered to the service hotel. All necessary equipment, including bedlinen and towels, will also be removed from the care centre.

All expenses incurred in connection with THE operation of THE VSAC in the premises of the service hotel, including the restoration of the premises of the premises, shall be financed by the municipality of Rezekne from the budget of the municipality.

On 18 January at 10.00 The management of the municipality and representatives of the working group through videoconference mode will organise a remote discussion with the members of the council of the council of the school Council and the Maltese parish council.
