Up to 31 August may apply for training in adults

By 31 August, the training for adults in the 8 th round will continue. At the moment, the educational institutions are mostly awaiting applications in educational programmes where they can acquire professions for work in the construction and chemical industries, as well as acquire digital basic skills. You can apply for training at www.macibasaugusajiem.lv.

8. The educational programmes offered in the application form may apply for employed and self-employed persons aged 25 years with completed or uncompleted education, young parents who are on parental leave and have maintained employment relationships as well as retired pensioners. In particular, social risk group workers with low or low level of education are invited to apply. 

So far, 1092 applications have been received. It is possible to apply for professional continuing education programmes which may obtain a concrete, chemical Laboratory, a dry structure assembler, a melioration system construction technician, a geotechnical research technician and a commercial employee of the former sector and other professions. Professional development education programmes are also available for the acquisition of digital basic skills by educational institutions in Riga, Liepaja and several Latgale cities – Daugavpils, Rezekne, Kraslava, Ludza and Preilos. 

“To get opportunities to grow in your existing workplace or find new professional challenges, skills and knowledge are an indispensable benefit, and this applies to all sectors. Particularly significant professional development is the proportion of employees who belong to social risk groups. It is not secret that the difficult circumstances of this moment will also leave their impact on the labour market, so the timely increase of their competitiveness in the labour market will be a strong airbag for many,” stresses the Director of the National Education Development Agency's adult education department Elina Farm - Baumane 

More than 40 educational programs available  

In general, for adult learning in the 8 th round, it is possible to apply for more than 40 educational programmes. Workers can learn professions in sectors such as wood industry, chemical industry, construction, electronic and optical equipment manufacturing, information and communication technologies, metalworking, engineering and engineering, agriculture, business, food industry and health and social care. 

Select an educational program and apply for training on the website www.macibaspieaugusajiem.lv. The training of training groups and the start of training are planned from September of that year. 

Co-payment for training is 5 - 10%

In order to motivate Latvian workers to apply for educational programmes, the majority of the training costs are covered by European Union funds and the state. When applying for one of the vocational training programmes, the co-payment of the employee is 5%, while the co-payment of the employee is 10% when choosing to learn vocational development in an educational programme or study course. For employed persons from poor or low-income households, the training is free of charge.

In this round of login, the training will mainly take place in the face-to-face. Training participants will be able to receive reimbursement of travel expenses to the place of practice and return, while workers from households with low-income or poor household status will be able to receive support to cover transport costs in order to get to the training or practice area.

The aim of the European Social Fund (ESF) project “improvement of the professional competence of employed persons” or training adults is to improve the professional competence of employed persons in order to prevent shortages of labour qualifications in the labour market demand in a timely manner, to promote the competitiveness of workers and increase in labour productivity. It is financed BY THE ESF and the Latvian state by investing more than eur 45 million. The project implementer is the State Education Development Agency in co-operation with Latvian municipalities, educational institutions and the State Agency for Employment.
