SIA “Vlakon” has been operating for more than 20 years. The company’s main activity is the development of the dolomite deposit “Pērtnieki” in Sakstagala parish, offering customers sand, gravel and 35 different fractions of dolomite crushed stone. Also, in 2020, an asphalt concrete plant was established, which has received all the necessary certificates and operates with a capacity of up to 180 tons of asphalt concrete per hour.

The second type of activity of the company is aquaculture. Trout, carp and sturgeon are raised in Pērtnieki. The young fish are raised in a local fish incubator, then released into clean, water-permeable ponds - former dolomite deposits, where water and currents are created by springs. The products of SIA “VLAKON” “Pērtnieku Gardumi” can be purchased at the company's store in Subinaite, Sakstagala parish, next to the Riga - Rezekne highway.
