Winter joy festival “snowy Cylcover” – without snow, but with pleasure

On 22 February, active recreational enthusiasts, natural and music fans were met in the Anchupan Carrier, the festival of winter joy, “Snowy Cylvsky 2020”, to spend the day in fresh air and pass on to various physical and creative activities. Even though the snow blew this year, the rain fell and was windy, but it did not stop visitors from going to nature with their family and friends, to participate and enjoy.
The event was supplemented by a number of organisations that year: Latvian National Guard, Latvian Red Cross, Latvian State Forests, orientēšanās Club “stiga”, child and youth organisation “young hawk”. After the day of the day, a fire sculpture took place and the NIGHT orientation in Anchupan Forest began.
In total, 112 participants participated in team disciplines, broken down:

• 4 trainee teams;
• 18 ğimenes-orientation teams
• 12-night orientation teams.

In addition to the individual disciplines, more than 180 participants participated in the event, which is also a good indicator in such harsh weather conditions and is evidence that there are many active people in the city and municipality of Rezekne who are not afraid of bad weather and enjoy physical activity in fresh air.
The event was organised by the association “Centre for Eastern Latvian Creative Initiatives” with the support of the municipality of Rezekne.
