The breasts are given to a woman to nurse a baby. The milk of the mother contains all the substances necessary for the child to eat, drink, develop, grow and strengthen immunity. Breastfeeding is a natural process, but there are often a variety of questions which we will seek together, such as:
• How to make sure that the baby is enough?
what breastfeeding poses are the most suitable for your baby?
• The child doesn't want to breast-feed, why?
• sore, cracked breasts, what to do?
• To give or not give a knife?
• How can Mom and the child stop breastfeeding?
where to find help if there are problems?
The purpose of lecture is to motivate, encourage and support emerging and young mothers with breastfeeding and to provide knowledge and practical advice in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organisation.
The lecture is organised by the Centre for Disease Prevention and Control with the association “Latvian Association for the Promotion of Sbrevation”.
The lecture will be held on 24 November, from 12 to 14.00, Rēzekne, coast street 31, ARPC “Zeimuļs” in room 1.9. Lector Anita Baltalksne.
Lecture in Rezekne is supported by the association “Rezekne Momma Club”
