The first parish sports games in athletic athletics

In order to promote the athletics as an integral part of a healthy lifestyle and identify the best athletic teams between novada parish, a competition in various athletic disciplines took place on 22 May AT Maltas. Athletes could be tested in disciplines such as 100 m, 400 m and 1500 m running for women, 100 m, 400 m and 3000 m running in men, high-jumping, high jumping and bullets in women and men.

The results of all disciplines were summarised in order to determine which parish is the strongest and most active athletes. In a total of 128 points, a Bērzgales parish team plunged into the victory laurus. In the 2 nd place, with only one point, the family remained, THE Maltas team, while the 3 th place with 102 points was fought BY Ilzeskalna parish.

Winners in each discipline:

  • 100 m men - Kaspars Spridzans (Maltas civil parish), result: 11,41 sec.
  • 100 m for women - Santa Bistrova (Ozolmuižas civil parish), result: 13.63 sec.
  • bullet pregnancy in women - Nellija Spridzāne (Maltas civil parish), result: 11,66 m
  • high-jumping for women - Aleksandra Kutuzova (Vērēmu civil parish), result: 1.25 m
  • jumping for men - Janis Bogdans (Ilzeskalna civil parish), result: 5,59 m
  • 400 m race for women - Victoria Adijan (Bērzgales civil parish), result: 01.07.59 min.
  • bullet pregnancy in men - Alvis Spunders (Bērzgales civil parish), result: 11,98 m
  • high-jumping men - Artis Zvidris (Bērzgales civil parish), result: 1,65 m
  • 400 m race for men - Edgars Rumiancevs (Maltas civil parish), result: 58.50 sec.
  • zooming for women - Santa Bistrova (Ozolmuižas civil parish), result: 4 m 68 cm
  • 3000 m race for men – Janis Bogdans (Ilzeskalna civil parish), result: 10.25.69 min.
  • 1500 m race for women - Victoria Adijan (Bērzgales civil parish), result: 05,57.84 min.

These are the first-level competitions to be taken by THE Maltas stadium after renovation. Since THE Maltas stadium is the largest municipality in Rēzekne, a variety of competitions are planned to be held. “There are both high-quality stadium cover and good infrastructure, including accommodation and catering facilities, so it would be a very good place to take a variety of training camps in summer, for example, the Latvian new spear-makers would be ready to go to us tonight,” said the main judge Edgars Kļaviņš.
