In order to alleviate the start of the start, the runners had the opportunity to check their accuracy in the shooting competitions, in which Jānis Šaudiņš, Nikolai Vasilyev and Edgars Poļaks were the most precise in the male competition, while in the women's competition, Bistrova, Erika Kuznesov and Elvita Kotane were the most focused.
Compared to previous years, the number of participants of the run has increased as their forces were tested by athletes not only from the municipality of Rezekne and Rezekne, but also from the municipality of Dagda, Carsava, Preilu and Ludza.
