Amateur theatre “Bykovites” celebrates 25 years of operation
“It is time, but we remain like we are...”, with the words of the song “fate of fate”, on 22 February, THE Gaigalavas cultural house opened its 25-year-anniversary event. This song has become a “Bykovsky” theatre anthem, which is sanctioned in the larger anniversaries. Time goes fast, 25 years have passed - a quarter of a century since Gaigalava is an amateur theatre who gives a pre-show every year. Even though the time in the face of the actor was wearing an extra groove, his eyes are the same gleam and the joy of the heart of the theatre. The Theatre “Bykovites”, which is part of the historical name of our village, is strong and powerful as a Latvian language, in which all the performances are studied. In total, 31 big shows and countless sketches have been studied in these years, with 80 actors acting in both larger and smaller roles.
The collective operates 15 participants. With the greatest actor, we play Juris Bikse, Gunta Spitch, Annelie Melne, Valdis black, Valentine Decsne. These actors have been active in the theatre since the first performance – Blauman “Skroderdays in Silmachos”. Juris Sukkanes, Maruta Suharevska, Imants Spīch, Aiga Spīch, is active in the collective. Our most recent actors, who have joined the last fifteen-year-old, are Daina Mihailova, Skaidrice Michchenko, Andris Dooda, Martin Vabale, Iveta Bikse, Roberts Voith. All together – a great force and a creative collective. If we are so different in our views and in the vision of the world, the spirit of the theatre play, a common goal, and an idea. As I climbed the stage, i forgot my everyday concern, working as a one-friendly team. We have studied long performances, sketches, show programmes, we went to the casting and filmed in the film The River of Picker pi. Together celebrate the Liga festival after the show, birthday, we go together in excursions, introduce Latvia's municipality. We are driving with performances, participating in amateur art festivals, floating events in our own and other districts. For example, we showed shows in Mairans, Baltinava, Krišyans, Rogovka, Nagles, Sherjan Home, museum night at Jasmuiža and Daugava festival in Selcastle.
In the course of the evening, the collective looked back at the last five years of the work, showing fragments from the performances, Mikhail Zošchenko's “wedding”, Baiba Yuhnevič's “towns”, Aivars Bank's “snowman”, “Graphar gold” and “from John to Peter”.
A collective festival was performed by Inara Pleikšne, head of the cultural division of the municipality of Rezekne and BY Valentina Puste, head of the council of Gaigalavas parish, as well as the head of the cultural house. “Bycovites” thanked the theatre directors - Valentine Deksne, whose collective runs for five years and Erica Bozovich, who was the first collective director and directed it for 20 years.
We had invited friends and collectors of the theatre who had been friends with many years. The Baltinava amateur theatre “Palada”, Nautrēnu parish Rogovka and Decter amateur theatre, Mayor amateur theatre “Goldman”, Tilja amateur theatre “mirror”, Nagļu amateur theatre and Dricānu amateur theatre “Siebrineicys”. They stirred the event with their prepared performances and congratulations. A great joy for all who came to our holidays. There was also a Luban amateur theatre “pregame”, leader Ilze Kraukle and social worker Ilona Vugule.
“Bycovites” was performed by local self-acting collectors - amateurs “optimists” and “Apinis”, dance collectors “Raffaello” and “Dancari”. THE ball played Gaigalavas musicians who are active in the cultural house and call themselves vocal instrumental ensemble “Gaigalava”.
We want to thank the local government of Rezekne and THE Gaigalavas parish administration for their support for their activities! Thank you for the transport provided, for warm rooms. Thank visitors for their gifts and good wishes! Thank you for the viewers who come to watch the shows! Thanks to you, we're working and not going to get involved in creative activity. Thank the actors who are working, donate their free time to fill out the performances and sketches to burn the events. We are proud of “Bykovim” because they are talented, attractive and work with a full return. We'll soon start working on the new show, and we'll wait for all the pre-show on the Liga festival.
