Training seminars - LEADER project management and implementation

With spring coming into Latgale, the activity of both natural and rural people has resumed, and the association “Rēzekne District Communities Partnership” has also launched an active work on the implementation of the community-led local development strategy under THE EAFRD LEADER programme. In March and April of that year, the association organized informative seminars in Rezekne and Viļānos, which were visited by more than 100 people interested in the open project competition.
In March, the association has launched a project competition for business and public benefit projects in the following actions: 1.1. “Promotion of business start-up and development” and 2.1. “Conservation and promotion of cultural history, natural heritage, improved public infrastructure” with total available public funding OF EUR 650 000. In the framework of actions, funding is available for the start and development of entrepreneurship, the creation of high-quality working conditions, the processing of agricultural products, the training of employees. On the other hand, projects that do not have a commercial nature can be implemented by public-benefit activities – to organize cultural history and natural objects, to improve and improve local territory and infrastructure.
The adoption of project applications will take place between 20 April and 20 May. Project applicants may be both natural and legal persons, including municipalities, associations, foundations and religious organisations. Project implementation area - Rezekne municipality and Viļānu municipality (excluding activities related to public relations, mobile machinery, establishment of local production site).

We shall be informed that applicants who have decided to participate in the first round of the competition and intend to submit a project application at the disposal of 1.1 or 2.1 are invited to a training seminar on the management and implementation OF LEADER projects. Within the framework of the training, work will be organised in groups (filling in a practical project form), which will be held on 19 April of that year (for business projects) and 20 April (for public benefit projects) at the municipal conference hall of the municipality of Rezekne. 10.00.
