Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces grant project competitions for development cooperation projects

On 13 May, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a grant project competition “support for development cooperation projects in the beneficiary countries defined by the Republic of Latvia” in the Eastern Partnership countries of the European Union - Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, as well as in Central Asian countries - Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the development cooperation policy plan approved in the Cabinet of Ministers on 18 April 2016, a financing of eur 231 000 is provided for in the beneficiary countries determined for the implementation of the grant projects for the implementation of development cooperation projects.

In accordance with International Assistance Law Article 9(5) may be applied for and grants to direct and indirect public administrations, municipalities, other public authorities as well as associations, foundations, merchants and trade unions. The grant cannot be received by political parties and their associations.

Projects are to be submitted by On 10 June 2016 at 17.00.

THESE projects will be assessed by 29 June, and information on winners will be published ON the website.
