Audriņu primary school youth team “Non-Stop” – a brave city and rural struggle!

With the aim of promoting the innovation of young people in Rezekne and Latgale, self-initiative and active participation in the creation of a youth friendly environment for the early 14 th year, the youth open centre “JACIS” of the youth centre of Eastern Latvia organised the competition “Popiela”, which also took place in THE 9 th grade school students of the Audriņu primary school this year. The theme of the competition was “Village VS Royal Battle” or the rural and urban struggle.
The final match, or the final of the competition, took place on November 21 in Latgale Embassy “GORS”. This year, the people of the city council of Rezekne, the Rēzekne 6 th High School team “15 cent”, THE ARPC “Zeimuļs” team “Start the Panic”, the Rēzekne Technical School “911”, the European association “World our Home” and THE ARPC “Zeimuls” volunteer team “PowerFlower”, the Eastern Latvian Technology Secondary School team “Eastern Latvians” and THE Audriņu primary school team “Non Stop” were welcomed by the viewers with their exciting and surprising performances. The jury assessed the originality of the team idea; the relevance of the subject, the activism, the choreography, the costumes, accessories and decorations.
THE performance of the “NON STOP” team was bright and exciting. All teams won awards from sponsors and supporters. Our school team received recognition as the most courageous competition team. On the other hand, for the 14 th poet main prizes – tickets to Mack Barskih (Макс Барских) – the winners of the Rēzekne Technical School “911” became the winners this year.
At the end of the event, the participants watched “Popielas 2018” winner, as well as the performance of the horeograph Anna Zmeikina dancer and hip-hop dance group STOP TIME.
