Bērzgales dancers participated in the line-dance Olympics “Riga Cup 2016”

IN Bērzgales, two non-traditional dance groups are active in the cultural house: “shick” and “Gingerry” in the attractive, imaginative and persistent dance teacher under Anita Turlaya. Dancers from home viewers have earned recognition that inspired their dance to show a competent jury. Therefore, the women's dance group “shiks” member Elita Zvdre and Veneranda Kuzmina and the school dance group “Gingerry”, on 8 and 9 April, went to pigeons where there was a grand and Latvian liner-dance history of a very important line of liner dancers – V Latvian line dancer Olympics “Riga Cup 2016”. The Olympics gathered more than 300 dancers from Latvia and Lithuania. The jury had competent evaluators from Lithuania, Ireland, Spain, Scotland and the Netherlands.

Competition was big. Some dancers had to be in the semi-final first. The group “Gingerry” remained IN place OF IV, while in individual dances Dāvis Cauniesh won II.

The dancers went home, got new acquaintance, and for a long time positive rechargeable emotions, which would surely bring energy and strength to new dances!
