Lichens, insects, wood samples and various thematic games for children and adults, the peal plates of the Latgale potter, with the fingerprints of different trees in the natural world, and much else has been available for almost two years at the Nazna Center for Nature Education, where a new radio broadcast on the environment is “along the hollow stygom pi myusim Latgola”.

Rēzekne Municipality is the site of Mākoņkalna parish Lipuški, a place located in Razna National Park, where the largest lake in Latvia is so close that it is possible to enjoy it already in the centre of the village. Less than two years ago, there was also a special place for the protection of nature and education - the Nature Education Centre “Razna”, whose main mission is to tell, show, discover, know and to think about the necessity of nature conservation and the treatment of nature. The Head of the Centre, Regina Indriķe, finds that the exhibition hall set up here can find out everything about Razna National Park, as well as the tourist attractions of the tourists here, the natural trails, the interactive and contemporary way to see and understand where one of the birds, beasts, fish species or plants is covered.

Regīna Indriķe (Renātes Lazdiņas foto)“The main values of the park are lakes and forests, so that one part of the exhibition is devoted to lakes, the other for forests, the park's characteristic forests, the sloping grave forests and forests on the oscillating forms of the oscillation where the species of different plants and insects are present, including very rare and protected,” is discovered by R.Indriķe.

It turns out to be the center of all generations. Both children and adults find interesting lessons for themselves, telling R.Indriķe “sometimes even looks like parents have more interest and willingness to act than children, because children have such a chance at school and much elsewhere, but parents may not always afford to be so free and curious to learn something, but we, in turn, have the opportunity to explain what is a protected area and why we must protect it.”

The Head of the Centre with caution, however, acknowledges that the people's attitudes towards nature and its protection have recently changed, as well as the events of Vistatia's talent, “that is, the creation of attitudes in the family already from the leg of the child. If a child sees that parents do good for nature, the child will be treated with dignity and care, then the child will give up their actions as well. It is therefore important to speak in this centre not only with children but also with adults," said R.Indriķe.

The Nature Education Centre “Razna” also carries out various activities of natural education outside the centre - visits to schools, activities at various events, organizes different groups of groups. And as Regina Indriķe acknowledges, the staff of the Centre complements his knowledge, also in work with people with special needs, where he has recently also provided his help with the Razna National Park, the people known by the podnieks Evalds Vasilevskis, making special clay plates with tree leaf prints for visitor and blind visitors of the centre.

The new production cycle of the new producer group “businessman Latgale” “through the hollow stygom pi myusim Latgola”, which in ten weekly broadcasts will bring around the largest lakes of Latgale – Luban and Razna, to reveal their natural beauty, uniqueness and possibilities to preserve it from generation to generation, begin from September 10 and the nature of Latgale will open until the end of November.

Broadcast on Thursdays at 17.30 radio “Ef-Ei” and “two-shore radio” (with repetition on Saturday) 15.00), as well as at 18.20 “Latgale radio” (with repetition on Friday) 11.20).
