Natural and human stories in the first book on Razna National Park

The Razna National Park Society prepared and issued a book dedicated to the 10-year anniversary of Razna National Park. The authors of the book are Anna Rancāne and Andris Eglītis.
The Razna National Park area is dedicated to both their natural values and cultural history objects, the fate of people living in the area and the wisdom of life, the experience of the development of traditional skills and the experience of natural-friendly farming. The author OF the book Anna Rancāne emphasizes the synergy of natural and human beings: “but what is the area, lakes, forests, mountains without people who have lived and formed the face of this place for hundreds of years, with folklore, traditions and skills, peculiar local names, who are inextricably twisted with natural and landscape wealth?” Therefore, this book, dedicated to the 10-year anniversary of Razna National Park, is closely together with natural and human stories. “Like a red yarn through her, Razna with her thousand uniformity.” Photographer Andris Eglītis has managed to capture moments in nature and human faces, reveal those seasons and emotions in the prize.
Opening of the book is intended for the “first 10 years” of the conference “Razna National Park” held by the Nature Protection Administration. It will be held in Rezekne, Latgale embassy “GORS” on 23 November. The Razna National Park Society will give a book to participants, municipalities, nature protection authorities, libraries and educational institutions. The book will be a gift for future generations and will serve the promotion of Razna National Park in Latvia and abroad, the updating of natural and cultural history values in society, as well as the discovery of the experience of nature conservation.
The book is issued with financial support from the Latvian Environment Protection Fund for the “treasure of specially protected nature territories - a gift for Latvia from generation to generation” (project reg. No. 1-08/226/2106), in cooperation with the regional administration of the Nature Protection Administration Latgale. Co-financing 'Razna National Park Society.'
The aim of the project “the treasure of specially protected nature territories - a gift for Latvia from generation to generation” is to strengthen the sense of belonging of Latvian society and love for its land, raising awareness of the role of specially protected territories (SPAs) in the preservation of natural and cultural historical values for future generations. The project is implemented by the Kemeri National Park Foundation, the Tych Nature Fund, the Nordic Biosphere Reserve Support Society and the Razna National Park Society.
