Youth work — their way of life

On Friday, December 9, in a solemn ceremony at Jelgava Technical School competition “best work with youth 2016” in several nominations received municipal, youth-related, youth organisations and associations that make a significant contribution to improving the quality of life of young people when performing youth work. There was also a number of active youth workers in Rezekne.
The solemn ceremony was discovered by the Minister of Education and Science Kārlis Šadurskis, emphasising that young people - it is our energy, creative, power today and the country-leaders of the future, who form Latvia as a country based on smart, responsible, creative, talented people. “It is not just an academic, school-based knowledge, it is also non-formal education, volunteering - a whole, which is the added value of youth work. The most important thing is that we can create an environment and prerequisites together so that young people have the opportunity to realise their creative potential, to be together with friends, to gain positive emotions, to fill their interests. It is the basis for always making a call to return home, in his city, in the municipality,” said Minister Kārlis Šadurskis.
The “best work with youth 2016” was also mentioned by representatives of Rezekne municipality:
• Fastest jump to a new youth organisation, association or foundation performing youth work (two years of work) - association “LOBS”;
Dricānu civil society association “LOBS” (managers, creative young people, Ingona Semule and Jānis Jurčenko) organizes activities and events, as well as through participation in various project competitions, co-operates with the municipality of Rezekne municipality, the sophisticated workshop “plucking”, the municipality of Rezekne municipality, THE municipality OF LATVIA Dricānu, and THE Dricānu youth centre “Kukuji”, as well AS other youth centres of Rezekne, including in a large local youth work networking. The association also has cooperation partners in France, Slovenia and Spain, resulting from participating in the Erasmus + programme activities. Feimaņu parish youth affairs specialist has participated in a number of local and international professional development training and seminars in 2015-2016, collaborating with representatives of the European Volunteering (EBD) Rēzekne City, as well as organizing sports and active lifestyle activities and activities. Aivars is an active lifestyle consortium and encourages young people and adults from both the local Feimaņu youth and the neighborhood. Feimaņu parish young people Aivar describes: “Aivars is Feimaņu youth affairs specialist who always defends the interests of young people. In events organised by Aivars, every child and young person are not noticed but are involved in all activities. The Inta Bule promotes the volunteering of young people by creating a group of young people who are actively participating in the organisation of local, regional and national events and activities as volunteers (natural concert hall and art picnic IN Lūznavas manor, XI pupil song and dance festival, Rēzekne municipality days, promotion “to school go”, Riga City festival, Rezekne semi-marathon, deer buck, etc.). The young people themselves say about Inta: “With her (Intu) it is never sad because she will always find something to do, whether it will be an activity or a small job.” Inta is the man who always says, “go, try, enjoy!” and always encourages us to be active! ”

Welga Lāce Rēzekne Municipality has been active in Ilzeskalna parish since October 2012 as a teacher of interest education, and also as a parish sporting event organizer.
It is very important for the toll that THE Ilzeskalna parish is useful for young people to spend their free time, so that the youth association “Jaunkalve” brings together projects that have led to the improvement of Ilzeskalna parish infrastructure, the purchase of equipment and equipment for the needs of both young people and Ilzeskalna parish residents.
The 2016 Welga Ilzeskalna parish also serves as a youth affairs specialist. The youth centre “Iļžukolna Jaunatne” has been established. Velga motivates young people to participate in various competitions, projects, events, to focus on volunteering. In 2016, the project “is not as good as home …” with State budget funding of the State budget of the Ministry of Education and Science for 2016. As part of the project, young people created a story about their native parish as a gift for Latvia's centuries.
As well as Inta and Aivars, Welga has participated in several local and international professional development training and seminars, as well as with children and young people in various competitions both in Latvia and beyond.

Janis Šaudins Rēzekne is active in the capacity of a youth affairs specialist since March 2015 and has so far organized a number of events and activities for the young people of Rezekne (Youth Days of Rezekne, youth forums, non-formal training, strong running “Bakys Trocai”, Razna-Muokūņcoln, Health Week, etc.), as well as participated in several local and international projects and activities, promoting the involvement of the youth case specialists in Rezekne and co-operation in international youth networks, as well as promoting their professional development with young people in the Rēzekne municipality parish. In parallel with youth work, Jānis is also a teacher of interest education AT Maltas High School (Robotic Collection) and Maltas in the centre of children and youth (the youth participation and culinary group “GOTOV”), is a member of THE council of Maltas parish council, organizes the activities of the association “Maltys silds”, as well as engages in Latvian red cross activities and cooperates with the children and youth centres of Latgale region, schools and entrepreneurs.
In the youth field, he coordinates the youth project competitions of Rezekne (annual around 70 youth projects), as well as organises the volunteering of young people and also actively engages in various sports events and the creation of new opportunities for young people of Rezekne, motivating them to act and participate in civil parish and municipality life.
