One of the most diverse developments on 16 June at the Latvian Etnography Museum, where the pre-war time in traditional “nowadays”, along with other ethnographic ensembles and folklore sets, was also covered by Etnographic ensemble “Rikava”. In the vast and hospitalized Kurzeme fishermen's “Lurkers”, the songs of the songs, the musicians, the stories and toys, together, both Jāņu's waiting time with the bride and the summer of the year, both the summer works, the memories of the times of the colhoes, and the Ryan dance step.
The time of summer sunshine for farmers was not just delighted and waiting for a full-time festival. It was a very intense work, because it had to be not only the gardens that had been picked up in a proper holding, the manure had to be removed, and the fallow had to be removed. The celebration of the sunshine could not prevent any work, and the talks often took place on the Liga Day. After a heavy working day, the talkers and the house people found a sauna in the soul and flesh.
The Etnographic ensemble “Rikava” called for a look at one of the most important developments in the Liga evening expectation – the sauna in the shooting: with and about the broom sieving, the collection and use of the medicine, the sauna and the sauna, the rotation of the houses and courtyards, the silk, the works made so that the honour can be able to fly to the morning light. With a sparkling humor, with songs, toys, and Liga Night, the Etnographic Prompt “Piert” took a spectator to the ancient days of childhood or youth, and another rediscovered the meaning of the sunshine. Appreciation of the Rikavier's insistence came in the words of applause and gratitude. Many were still waiting to enjoy cheese and beer, rye bread with freshly cooked butter and peppermint tea to simply talk.
The 15 th and 16 June “nowday” event was organised by the Latvian National Cultural Centre in cooperation with the Latvian ethnography museum.
