Folklore expedition IN Ozolaines civil parish
On June 25, a folklore expedition, “Ozolaines parish”, will begin IN Ozolaines parish. The event will be carried out in collaboration with the “philosophy” of the Rēzekne Technology Academy of Studies and Students, involving THE folklore of the Ozolaines parish folklore “Zeile”, seniora club “fire” and Maltas secondary school units, pupils and educators. The Ministry of Education and Science was also approved by the Ministry of Education and Science in the expedition, which led and participated in 14 folklore expeditions in Latgale.
Live folklore materials collected and systematised in the Rēzekne Technology Academy have been published since 1993 and published on the website from 2005: http://folklora.ru.lv. So far, folklore expeditions have been in Luznava, Lendes, Berzgale, Castile, Vail, Nautre, Indra, Cibla, Auleya, Andrupene, Kaunatā, Baltinava, Vilnius and Dagda. Ozolaines parish also wants to supplement the live folklore stock with traditional cultural units yet available. The collection materials collected during the expedition will be placed IN a book dedicated TO THE 80-year anniversary OF Ozolaines parish. In addition to the video plot and other information material, which illustrates the oral and intangible cultural heritage preserved in Ozolaine, so that it can be transferred to future generations.
16 participants will participate in the expedition, with bicycles, they will leave parish villages to meet local folklore teachers who have preserved the songs of parents and grandparents, telling stories. It will be recorded in the stories about the origin of the local names, the recorded stories, the intangible cultural heritage of minority ethnic minorities and religious confessions, the conscious tradition of musicisation and the photo documentation of parish historical buildings and places.

The folklore expedition takes place within the project “Ozolaines parish period”, which is supported by the State Culture Capital Fund and co-financed by the municipality of Rēzekne Ozolaines.
