SIA “Sprudzeva M” (Griškānu parish) specializes in dairy farming. There are 1600 bovine animals in the herd, including 960 dairy cows. In order to ensure fodder, the company deals with crop growing in 1860 ha of agricultural land.
The priority of the farm is the modernisation of cattle farms, the renewal of the agricultural machinery park and the introduction of new technologies. In total, the company has three farms, placing in service in Latgale in 2017. It is equipped with modern, energy-efficient production facilities that meet animal welfare and environmental requirements. The company employs 60 employees, six new employees have been found in the new farm, all created good working and living conditions. The farm is proud of the dynasty of employees, the children and grandchildren of former colleague staff working here.
As a result of the čaklajiem robots, the farm workers do not have to work hard physical work. The heifer feeding process is automated, but four milking robots recognise and wipe each cow in a suitable mode. The sieved milk is immediately analysed if there is doubt about its quality or the health of the animal, the production is destroyed. The robots evaluates the cow's productivity and is fed, if necessary, with the game, so that the milking is very high, on average 33 litres per day from one cow.
All information about the health of the animals, the quality of the milk, the reproduction of the herd comes into the “heart” of the farm - a special laboratory. Air quality is automatically controlled and the robots are concerned with the distribution of feed and the collection of manure.
