Newsprint RSEZ SIA produce a clean and economically viable energy source – wood particle granules using wood grown in Latvia – forest industry waste that is also supplied to the company by more than 40 farmers of Rezekne municipality. Although “NewFuels” is located in the city of Rezekne, a third of its employees – 23 – are residents of Rezekne municipality. The company has purchased land in Rezekne municipality, where it is planning to expand its production, currently there are warehouses.
A new housing and upgraded equipment was built in 2010, which allowed increased production volumes and number of employees. SIA “NewFuels” is a socially responsible company, takes care of its employees, actively participates in the public life of Rezekne and Rezekne, supports charity events and sport.
DURING THE festival of THE XXVI general song festival, an attempt was made to sustain the Sherjan cultural house for the youth dance collection “Dzieti” and Dricana – Shergana women's choir “Townadze”. Similarly, “NewFuels” welcomes pupils' excursions and shows their company, possibly encouraging young people to make their career choices. It should be noted that THE website of SIA “NewFuels” also contains information in Latgalian language, showing a respect for the cultural historical identity of the municipality!
