Education

AT Gaigalavas primary school nature friends' pupils this summer is a special event -- THE “Latvian Finieris” school youth competition “green class 2015”. More than thirty Republic schools took part in the competition, but the final was sixteen, so competition was very strong.
The subject of this year's competition was “Beaver and birch.” We met the subject in February, but the intense work began in March because the bebra dam had to be found, the damage caused by the bebra, the damage to the birch groves, the answers to many hooked questions, and the painting of the bebra. The most serious, but at the same time, the most interesting task was to disassemble the bebra dam and also to film the event by creating a binding and exciting five-minute film.
The homework consisted of several parts: the film about the work done, the creative part with the description and the drawings, and the painted beaver trees. That succeeded. With Bebra filming, the cameras were helped by Gaigalavas hunting collective “Bikavieši” hunters Janis Spīch, Martin Vuguls and Martin Armuska. Thank you very much for your support and help!
On July 14 and July 15, Abragciema gathered all the participants of the competition at the end of an active and creative event. In two days, pupils spoke in various sports activities: shooting with a circle, securing rope and walking around the rope as well as the best photo moments. In all activities, pupils gathered points because the team's work was evaluated. At the end of the evening, each school presented her work on the project. And again the schools were valued and received points. The winners of this competition were determined by summing up the scores for home work, sports activities and evening presentation. Our Gaigalavas primary school team won the first place and 750 euros for the school. We got this high assessment because we were a very friendly and cohesive team. Thank you very much to Laura Colney, Wilma Colney, Laumai Colney, Janis Poch, Imanta Spīch, Anne Barinova, Inese Barinova, Eduard Armuska, Victoria and Cynthia Rebles and teacher Maruta Krustan. Thank parents who have supported and raised such active and knowledgeable children.
On the activities, the content of the competition, the catering and well-being of all participants in the competition, Jolanta Medne, head of the Office of the Council of Latvia, was concerned with the team. Thank you for the care and the time you spend. Our participation in the competition was supported by professional and responsible drivers: Whitalia fired and Edgar Sudnik. Thank you for patience!
The summer is already in full maturity, soon August and then not behind the mountains September - a new school year with their challenges and plans. A sunny and meaningful summer holiday!

Aktivitāte - izveidot skolas simbolu. Mūsu gadījumā tā bija gaigala, putns, kurš dzīvo Lubāna ezerā.
