Grain and rape growers' conference Viļānos
On March 4, a conference of grain and rape growers of the Eastern Latvian region will take place IN Viļānos, organised by SIA “Latgale Agricultural Science Centre” (LLZC) in cooperation with THE municipality of Viļānu. The latest information on cereal varieties, fertilizers, plant protection products, latest techniques and the results of the 2015 trials will be presented during the conference.
THE purpose of THE LLZC activity is scientific research in agriculture, its scientific activity is focused on promoting the development of agricultural production in the Eastern Latvian region. The development of 14 arable crops in the development of growing technologies through the introduction of the latest and most efficient agro-technical parameters is carried out to promote development. LLZC is recognised as a modern technology practice area in the agricultural sector. In order to promote the introduction of scientific knowledge in production, LLZC organises an agricultural exhibition every year – rural day.
The second largest event organised BY LLZC is the conference of the Eastern Latvian grain and rapeseed growers, which is organised IN Viļānos this year. As told BY MR LLZC, Dr. agr. Veneranda Stramkale, the conference is held for 8 years with the aim of presenting rural entrepreneurs with the results of experiments and the most important issues related to the organisation of spring sowing.
11 companies will participate in this conference. Two companies - “AnAgro” and “Agrochema Latvia” – will participate in the conference for the first time, will also be leaders of other national companies. Every year the interest in the conference is growing, which is also shown by the fact that several companies have repeatedly applied for demonstration trials IN LLZC.
