Griškānu parish management notice on collection of municipal waste

Griškānu parish administration informs that the municipality of Rezekne organises, coordinates and controls municipal waste management, including the management of hazardous waste, in accordance with the binding regulations No. 38 of the municipality of Rezekne of 19 August 2010 on the management of municipal waste in Rezekne municipality.
In accordance with these provisions and the agreement on waste management, any owner, possessor or user of the Rēzekne municipality is obliged to enter into a contract with the waste manager – SIA “ALAAS”, legal address: “Križevniki 2”, Križevņiki, Ozolaines civil parish, Rezekne municipality, LV 4633 (office address: Zilupes street 50, Rezekne, LV 4601, contacts: 64667440, 64605452, sia.alaas@inbox.lv). In the absence of contracts, please contact the waste manager SIA “ALAAS” immediately and conclude a contract for the removal of waste.

As of March 01, 2016, properties, owners, possessors and users will be surveyed, as well as information regarding the existence of contracts with the waste manager will be clarified. In the absence of contracts, authorised persons will draw up administrative infringement protocols regarding the non-participation of the municipal waste producer in the collection of municipal waste organised by the local government and send these protocols to the administrative Commission of Rezekne. In accordance with Section No. 42 of the binding Regulation No. 42 on violation of binding regulations, including non-contracting, natural and legal persons are held administratively liable, but in accordance with Section 75, Paragraph two of the Latvian Administrative Violations Code regarding the abovementioned violation, the administrative Commission may impose a fine on natural persons from 70 to 700 euros, while legal persons - from 430 to 1400 euros.
We call on all Griškānu parish waste producers to participate in municipal waste collection in accordance with the abovementioned laws and regulations and to conclude agreements with the waste manager in order to prevent adverse consequences and commencement of administrative proceedings.
