Acquaints with the experience of Rezekne municipality

In order to familiarise himself with the experience of Rezekne Municipality, on 22 July, the chairman of the Madona District Council, Agris Lungevics, chairman of the municipality of Cesvaine, chairman of the council of Cesvaine, chairman of the eagle council Guntars Velcis and Chairman of Luban District Council Tel Salenieks, local government specialists, visited the municipality. After administrative territorial reform, Madona municipality will also be greater. By decreasing the number of Members to the population, visitors are thinking about new ways of ensuring effective communication between society and municipalities. Rezekne municipality is a positive example of the implementation of various reforms and issues.
In the council, the guests listened to the story of the Rēzekne municipality, familiar with the structure, functionality and financial management of parish associations. In 2019, for more efficient use of funds, 25 Rēzekne novada parishes were combined in four associations.
