Announcing the adoption of project applications in the measure “Investments in the expansion of forest areas and improvement of forest viability”

The Rural Support Service (LAD) announces the adoption of project applications for the European Union Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and Rural Development Programme (RDP) measure “investments in the expansion of forest areas and improvement of forest viability”.

Adoption of first-round project applications in the measure “investments in the expansion of forest areas and improvement of forest viability” will be from 15 October 2015 to 16 November 2015 with total public funding  9 500 000  euro.

Breakdown of public financing by sub-measure:

"Forest harvesting"- EUR 4 000 000  ;

"Restoration of forest stands destroyed in forest fires and natural disasters"- EUR 500 000 ;

"Investments to improve the sustainability and environmental value of forest ecosystems"- EUR 5 000 000    .

Project applications must be submitted in accordance with the electronic documents law or personally LAD regional agricultural administrations, or LAD central apparatus at the Customer Service Centre of the Ministry of Agriculture in Riga, Republic of Republic 2, 2 nd floor lobby (tel. 67095000).
