Education

On 28 April, a restaurant service school was visited AT Kaunatas High School with the aim of introducing his school.
Restaurant service school is implemented by educational programmes - catering services, so-called cook, catering service specialist, confectionor, and restaurant services, bartender, waiter.
There is no limit for student age. The school fee for the first school year is 1300 euros, but for 6 months – 800 euros. The school must learn one year, but the whole life needs to be improved.
The best students are awarded the “grey & Dziness” scholarship. During the course of the school year, students also learn the practice that takes place (one month training, a second practice). During the school year, there is an opportunity to work and fully cover the school fee. School teachers are cooks and chefs.
AT Kaunatas, the head of THE RSS School and his assistant, Maris Astics and their assistants, Nikolai Borodkin and Christine Strode, visited the secondary school. Christine has graduated FROM RSS, as well as has won the title “Latvian Year of the Year 2014”. They demonstrated their masterness, also engaged pupils, lecture listeners, taught some culinary tricks. Joint forces were prepared – Baltic salmon variations, Tartars swept 42 degrees, tomato - coconut soup, sushi, solotto with mushrooms, caramel chocolate dessert. The food was, of course, delicious, sophisticated, and beautifully designed.
There was also an active discussion at the time of the preparation. The pupils asked their questions, learned a lot about culinary and cook everyday. The latest technological innovation in the kitchen was introduced.
To be a good cook, you must love what you do!
We thanked THE RSS cooks for their responsiveness and the work they had done, as it was a good opportunity to meet the culinary, its plugs and mines. As Maris Astich said, “people eat, eat and eat.”
