The primary school of crutches participated in this school year and won the honest 1 st place in the competition for the collection of electrical and electronic equipment for “clean Latvia” organised by the association “green belt” in association with “BAO”. For the 1 st place, the cruise primary school also won the main award – a free excursion “one day in Ventspils” for 30 persons.

Between November 2014 and mid-January 2015, 5,200 tonnes of electrical equipment were collected at school. In general, 40 participants participated in the electronic equipment collection competition, of which 29 were pupils and the others were teachers and school staff.
The pupils gathered the electric appliances at home and turned to help with their relatives, friends, acquaintances, and neighbors. Many people were incredibly happy that they could get rid of old things that had accumulated in barns, garages and warehouses.
The primary school of electrical engineering was the 2 nd class student Anastasia Dukšta (267 kg), the 4 th grade student Jekaterina Vanchenko (151 kg) and the 3 rd class student Sergei Medvedev (139 kg). In the primary school, the most active were the 6 th grade students Daniels Poļakovs (246 kg) and Arkady Shumeiko (189 kg). The third place was the 5 th grade student – Yevgenius Vintrushov, who collected 158 kg of electrical equipment. With the opportunity, we would like to thank the parents of the pupils for bringing the electrical equipment to the school.
Teachers also actively participated in this event. They invited and encouraged students to participate actively in this competition and proved it with their own actions. For example, the primary school teacher, Nina Titov, passed a record amount of electrical engineering - 1534 kg, while the mathematics and physics teacher Olesja Šhohta collected 322 kg of electrical and electronic devices.
By attending the final event on 24 May 2015 in Sigulda, the pupils were underestimated and pleased. In the event of the event, students participated in various entertainment, performing in masters and creative workshops, quizzes, supplementing knowledge in biology, ecology and environmental protection issues. And, of course, the greatest surprise, joy and excitement, was the 1 st place and the big prize, the excursion to Ventspils.
We would like to thank the organisers of this competition for the opportunity to participate in this kind of event. And again, a huge thank you for the prize - excursion to Ventspils!
