In Latgale region ten professional educational institutions or their branches continue to receive a project youth guarantee in educational programmes. Pieteikšanās in educational institutions take place until the end of the summer.
In order to motivate young people aged 17-29, who do not work and learn, to benefit from the project youth guarantee, the State Education Development Agency (VIAA), from 13 August to 9 September, throughout Latvia, including Latgale region, is implementing a socially educational campaign “discard inactivity!”.
“The end of the summer and September 1 are approaching, but there are young people who have not yet decided where to go further, or simply don't know what they want to do in the future and what profession to choose,” explains SIA Director Dita Traidas. “We have a solution – 32 Latgale labour market calls for a youth guarantee in a project where a prospective qualification can be obtained free of charge at a short time. Young people can choose their own occupation and educational institution in another region, as the youth guarantee is spread throughout Latvia. During the course of the training, the service hotel is paid and travel expenses are covered to the place of practice. '
