The summary of the main recommendations made by experts in the project conferences presented the main emphasis on building a sustainable living space, linking natural values to social, economic and research, and the added factor, finally highlighting the specific role of education in the context of sustainability.
Following the presentation of the project, a session of high-level expert commentaries was followed, outlining possible national sustainable development scenarios, the necessary steps to be taken to ensure that the proposals made in conferences are implemented in a long-term perspective. On the other hand, the agenda of the Saeima Sustainable Development Commission's 24 May meeting includes the question of the contribution of the project “Latvia's sustainability dimensions – educated people and the preservation of natural values” in the context of Latvia's long-term strategic planning.
