Latgale tourism specialists complement knowledge
This autumn, the Latvian tourism association “Ezerland”, in cooperation with the support and co-financing of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) tourism department and Latgale municipalities, organises an annual training seminar cycle for tourism industry, which takes place with the slogan “the key of success - in our own hands!”
On October 14, in Livani, the practical psychologist Iveta Aunite turned to a very acute theme – the prevention of professional burns, which in modern stress conditions and in a tight working rhythm, is very topical for tourism entrepreneurs and tourism information centre workers. In the course of the lesson, valuable practical advice was provided to the Council on how to communicate with customers, to deal with conflict situations and to be stress-resistant in a variety of difficult situations. Very many visitors to this lesson acknowledged that the topics outlined in the lecture were very useful, and such content training should continue in the future.
On October 19, in Preilos, journalist and Latvian independent television analytics “LNT news TOP 10” head Haralds Burkovskis said about interactions between different generations, world perceptions, and differences in the usage of digital devices and technologies. The senior expert of THE Tourism Products Development Department OF THE LATVIAN Tourism Department, Janis Bautra, provided practical advice on the design and content creation of tourism entrepreneurs and tourist destinations, the selection of visual material and the development of mobile versions of homepages.
The training cycle will continue, and on October 27, the Museologist, head of the “Creative Museum”, Ineta Zelča – Simonson will discuss the creation of the place story and trends in museum development. On November 2, Dagda, the photographer Aleksandrs Tolopilo will conduct practical activities in which specialists will acquire skills in the reception of high-quality photographs for tourism purposes. On November 28, Balvi, the computer expert Andrejs Mieriņš will manage “work in tourism with modern computing solutions”. On November 10-11, Latgale tourism specialists will be going to exchange experience with new Latgale tourism companies. On December 2, the Latgale tourism association “Ezerland” will organize the annual Latgale tourism conference that will be held in Ludza this year.
