The Latvian girls' football championship season continued on Sunday, 24 January, when the first sabraukumi in the old age group of the championship were held in Malta and Spuņciems – in 2001, born and older footballers. At the end of the weekend, championship struggles started the second divisions of this age group. AT Maltas in the multifunctional hall, the first milestone was led by the team of the second division of the Division, where the best performance was demonstrated by the Rēzekne District BJSS – Preilu BJSS team. It achieved success in the games against SEE Imanta and Ludza SS – Rezekne BJSS, filling the maximum possible six points and leaving their gates intact. There were all five teams in the team, and only one match ended with more than one gateway.
The Latvian girls' room in football championship is first introduced in the division of older age group teams in divisions that provide a competitive championship and a fairer distribution of groups. Teams start in two divisions, each with two group matches.

On the other hand, the Spuņciema sports hall met the second division of the Division B, and here, on both sides of the first meeting, the Talsi NSS was held at the victory, celebrating the success of Riga Football School 2 and Riga United FC 3. In the first round of this group, each of the five teams was able to load at least one point.

“After game results, you can see that split teams in two divisions was the right step to ensure the competitive conduct of the championship. After the first round games, it can be seen that almost every match shows an uncompromising and intense fight in the area. The teams don't want to give up and play until the last minute, which is very happy,“ highlights the head of the Latvian football Federation (LFF) women's football division Nina Travkina. Thus, the intrigue will remain until the second milestone, where the teams that fight for the highest places will also be identified. It is a pleasure to see growth in the area as well as a more meaningful game. It was particularly delighted by the Talsi NSS team, who demonstrated a good match and a combination of rich football.
This age group team will be taken away on 31 January in Laplaciema and Talsi, where the second divisions finals are also scheduled for 21 February.
LFF would like to thank the Rēzekne District BJSS team for the warm reception at the new Maltas hall, as well as for cooperation in organising the event. It is also a special thanks to the municipality of Babites for the administration of the municipality in the parish of the island of Spuņciema in the sports hall.
The Latvian Football Championship season is held from January to February, when IN total four age groups play Malta, Laplaciems, Spuņciems, Talsi, Riga, Rezekne and Olaine. Such competitions are organised to promote girls' football in Latvia and to promote the growth of young footballers. The Championship is organised BY LFF in collaboration with LFF regional foundation leaders.
