Mākoņkalna parish project “Supplementing the fish stocks of the Lake Viraudas”

The lake is part of a specially protected nature area in Razna National Park. By complementing fish resources with juvenile juveniles, the long-term fishing of Virauda lake will be encouraged and the conservation of fish resources, which is particularly important for both the surroundings of the lake and the parish population. The project “Supplement of the fish stocks of the Lake Viraudas” was submitted and approved at the Council meeting of the fish fund, the “propagation and reproduction of fish resources in public bodies and bodies of water in which the fishing rights are owned by the State, in other bodies of water which are owned by the State or local government, as well as in private rivers where fishing is authorised” and was supported. A total of 12,000 pieces were placed in this year's semiconductor juveniles.
The total amount of the purchase of zandarit juveniles is 2880,00 EURO, from which the aid from the fish fund EUR 2131,20 IS granted, co-financing from the association “Razna National Park Society” – 172.80 EURO, co-financing from Mākoņkalna parish administration -- 576.00 EUR. The implementation of the project will provide an opportunity to increase the fish stocks of the Lake Viraudas and will have a positive impact on the development of fishing, fishing, recreational and tourism in the municipality of Rēzekne Mākoņkalna.
