Motto drive “Latgali – Latgalim 2018”

On August 25, the group “as, you i Ji”, as well as moto enthusiasts from Nagļiem, organize the motto trip “Latgali – Latgalim 2018”. The purpose of the journey is to explore THE cultural historical sites OF Nagļu and Gaigalavas.
It is important for every person, as a representative of his country, to know where he comes from - who is his parents, his grandparents - know the history of the family, know the history of his people and the country. The knowledge of history helps you better understand yourself, help you feel belonging to your family, people, country. The sense of belonging is very important - it provides safety, lets you understand that we are each responsible for what we are all together. Our land is our home. But they do not belong to us, we have received them from our ancestors, the people who lived here long before us, and we must pass them on to the next generations.
The first residents of Latvia arrived in the territory of Latvia many years ago, there have been various events, until Latvia has become the one we see today. The study of history makes it possible to find out how people lived in ancient times, as the Latvian people have formed, as set out in the Latvian state, to learn about people who have played a particular role in history.
This motto journey is the fourth, which is organized by the enthusiastic of motto and history. In previous years, THE historical sites OF Nautrēnu, Kaunatas, Mākoņkalna and Aglona were identified.
