Non-traditional sports games in Verems

At the end of the summer, on August 13, Vērēmu parish erection took place in non-traditional sports games, where it was necessary to use strength, luck and enthusiasm.
There were 4 teams from Ilzeskalna, Feimaņiem and two from Vērēmu parish. Participants had to compete in 10 different disciplines such as “hard toes”, “beautiful head”, “pioneer Bol” etc. One of the most difficult and interesting disciplines was “running around the pond”, where the participants in one of the stages had to run with heavy and large rubber boots, take the big bomb, put the pyramid out of the boxes, ride the runway, and the most heavy stage had to be made with the tyres of the machine. It won the team that reached the lowest time.
The local team “Bendals” became the winners, the 2 nd place won THE Feimaņu parish team, but the third ranked “DPD Totongs”.

The competition took place thanks to the initiative of the youth initiative of the municipality of Rezekne. We hope for cooperation next year.
